TRADE PROHIBITION (COMPANIES AND DIRECTORS) (NO. 2) ACT - 1979 (AFRCD 65)

• Section - 1 - Certain Companies Prohibited From Operating In Ghana.

  • The companies or firms specified in the Schedule to this Decree are hereby prohibited from engaging in any timber trade in Ghana.
    

• Section - 2 - Certain Persons Prohibited From Carrying On Business In Ghana.

  • Any person who holds office as a Director in any of the companies or enterprises specified in the Schedule to this Decree is hereby prohibited from engaging in any business or commercial activities in Ghana.
    

• Section - 3 - Offences.

  • Any person who contravenes any provision of section 1 or 2 of this Decree commits an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding c5,000.00 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding two years or to both.
