TEMA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT - 1966 (NLCD 108)

The rights, assets and liabilities of the Tema Corporation established under the Tema Corporation Ordinance, 1952 (No. 35 of 1952) shall be deemed to have been transferred to the Tema Development Corporation established under the Tema Development Corporation Act, 1963 (Act 158) on the 1st day of October, 1962 (being the date upon which the said Act came into force) and accordingly, so much of the said rights, assets and liabilities as existed on the 1st day of May, 1963 shall be deemed to have been included in the rights, assets and liabilities (however described) of the Tema Development Corporation established under the Tema Development Corporation Act, 1963 (Act 158) which were, on the said 1st day of May, 1963 transferred by the Tema Development Corporation (Repeal) Act, 1963 (Act 190) to the Accra-Tema Development Corporation established by the Instrument of Incorporation of the Accra-Tema Development Corporation, 1963 (EI 61).

The name of the Corporation continued in existence by the Accra-Tema Development Corporation Instrument, 1964 (LI 359) shall with effect from the 15th day of September, 1964, be deemed to have been changed to the Tema Development Corporation.

(1) The Tema Development Corporation Instrument, 1965 (LI 469) is hereby amended:-
(a) by the substitution for the words "by sections 1 and 2 of the Statutory Corporations Act, 1964 (Act 232)" appearing in the introductory words to the said Instrument, of the words "by sections 1, 2, and 4 of the Statutory Corporations Act, 1964 (Act 232)"; and
(b) in paragraph 1 of Part XV thereof, by the substitution for the words "established under" of the words "existing immediately before the commencement of this Instrument under".
(2) The amendments made by this paragraph shall be deemed to have come into force at the same time as the said Tema Development Corporation Instrument, 1965 (LI 469).
