MINERALS ACT AND REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) ACT - 1968 (NLCD 315)

• Section - 1 - Amendment Of L.I. 257.

  • The Minerals (Offshore) Regulations, 1963 (L.I. 257) is hereby amended in-
    
    (a) regulation 1 thereof by the insertion next after the words "territorial waters of Ghana" occurring therein of the words "and from the continental shelf";
    
    (b) regulation 14 thereof by the substitution for the words "to the Minister responsible for National research" occurring therein of the words "to the Commissioners respectively responsible for Lands and Mineral Resources and for national research"; and
    
    (c) regulation 19 by the insertion next after sub-regulation (3) thereof, of the following new sub-regulation:-
    
    "(4) An application for the grant of an approval under sub-regulation (1) of this regulation may be made by a licensee through the Commissioner responsible for Lands and Mineral Resources."

• Section - 2 - Amendment Of L.I. 258.

  • The Minerals (Oil and Gas) Regulations, 1963 (L.I. 258) is hereby amended in regulation 1 (1) thereof by the insertion next after the words "territorial waters of Ghana" occurring therein of the words "and the continental shelf".
